Triangle Mobility Hub Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) Public Comment Period and Public Hearing Notice
Comment Period: May 18 - June 16, 2026 - Public Hearing: June 17, 2026 at 3:00pm
The proposed Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA) for the new Triangle Mobility Hub facility site is available for public review and comment from May 18 - June 16, 2026.
The Triangle Mobility Hub will be GoTriangle’s new multimodal transportation center that replaces the Regional Transit Center as the anchor for regional connectivity in the Triangle. The new facility will integrate buses, paratransit, microtransit, and rideshare services in one convenient location, and it will support connections to future transportation options such as Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), the regional bikeway, and passenger rail. GoTriangle is currently engaged in project planning and preliminary design for the Triangle Mobility Hub and has identified a site in Research Triangle Park as the proposed location for the new facility. This location, also known as the Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA), was shared as part of public engagement activities in February-March 2026 and was approved by the GoTriangle Board of Trustees on April 15, 2026. The LPA is now being considered by the MPOs and by relevant regulatory agencies through the Wake Transit Concurrence Process.

A public hearing for the proposed LPA will be held at 3:00pm on June 17, 2026, as part of the CAMPO Executive Board regular agenda. Visit CAMPO's Meeting Details web page for location map, log on instructions to listen to the meeting, and to sign up to speak.
